Nosework

This class is open to dogs and handlers who have completed at least beginning obedience class. Nosework is the sport of allowing dogs to use their natural scenting ability to locate certain scents, and to communicate the location of the scent to their handlers. It is designed to be both a demonstration of training skill and an enjoyable sport for both the dog and the handler. Dogs will gain titles in recognition of their ability to find and communicate the locations of these scents that are hid in increasingly more difficult locations. UKC Nosework is an activity that is available to dogs even those with disabilities, they will be able to participate in a safe activity with their owners that will be enjoyable and give them an opportunity to use their strongest natural sense in a way that is fun and positive
